The days between Christmas and the New Year have a special charm...
Everything is more quiet and peaceful, the people are closer to each other than otherwise, and mutual visits are paid.

On December 29, Carnello departed on his journey to Munich, along with our favorite food tester Flori.
Goal of the small trip this time was the Isarbote , the net newspaper for Munich and Bavaria (www.isarbote.de) and its likable publisher team Andrea and Peter Pollak .
These two have created the unthinkable these last four years: An online newspaper filled with current news from the region with 80 000 page clicks per day! The special thing about this newspaper is that it contains only positive news, which also possibly explains the many readers.
And as Ms Pollak also has a heart (and the room in her net newspaper) for the hardships of needy dogs, Carnello will gladly participate during the next few months.

What a day! In his own words, Mr. Viliam Jaros from the animal shelter "Utulok v udoli" in Slovakia
(www.utulokdca.sk) will never forget the date of December 18, 2008, and until today, he still feels inspired.
PR Lady Uschi Ackermann, who saved the ill one-eyed pug-lady Pusinka from the animal shelter in spring,
had invited Mr. Jaros to Munich for a day (including flight tickets)!
The meeting point was in the famous Franzikaner, and many acquaintances and friends came, and of course Carnello was part of the party.
For Mr. Jaros, whose animal shelter we have been supporting for years now, it was the first free day, the first trip in 11 years, and then straight to Munich, where everything was decorated for Christmas... Fully loaded with donations and presents for his currently 52 dogs, 12 horses
and 3 cats, he returned happily that evening
Merry Christmas to all in the animal shelter in the valley!

Sir Henry, the famous pug, sent us another kind invitation.
He was in Munich, Unterhaching on December 4th, at the opening of the new Fressnapf XXL as celebrity guest.
Owner Uschi Ackermann gave autographs for Henrys book, and the owner, the gourmet pope Gerd Käfer presented the
Carnello dogy-chips with heart and soul, and much humor.
For the good cause, he did not even shy away from the scales, because he was balanced with Premium Food -
it showed 130 kg! However, he did set things straight quickly: I don't weigh that much ;-)
Ms Dr. Brigitte Schramm received the food and also many dog chips along with a financial donation from Carnello.
She and her team "Tierschutzbrücke München" are voluntarily helping the poor and abandoned dogs
in Romania under difficult conditions.

The book premiere of "Hier schreibt der Mops" was a great success.
The feedback was immense, even the press and TV had come.
After the presentation, Sir Henry gave away autograph cards with paw prints to his fans in the signature tent in the courtyard.
Because he was not, not even as author, allowed into the holy fair halls.
Of course, he was accompanied by his owner, the gourmet pope Gerd Käfer and owner PR-Lady Uschi Ackermann.
They were carrying samples of Sir Henry´s favorite snack, the dogy-chips , which were snapped up like hotcakes.

The Frankfurt Book Fair has a new star - a four-legged one!
Nobody else than Sir Henry, Germanys most famous pug, will present his biography there on October 17th.
The presentation will be followed by an autograph session, where you can personally shake the authors paw.
The book not only talks about pugs, but also includes helpful tips concerning the purchase of puppies and the topic of health. There is also a chapter about healthy nutrition. Because, everybody knows that pugs like to snack.
And Henry´s favorite snack? Of course: Carnello dogy-chips !

Like every summer, Carnello took a trip to Dubnica, Slovakia. It is home to the animal shelter of Mr. Viliam Jaros (see help project),
who has been saving animals in distress practically by himself for 9 years:

Not only dogs, also goats and horses find shelter and love there, and, even if only temporary, a new home.
We also support the animals there on a monthly basis, and have brought something for the office along this time: a printer with fax and copying machine.
On September 17th we will be back there with a great surprise...
...and the surprise was a great success! Mr. Jaros was speechless with joy.
Because PR Lady Uschi Ackermann,, owner of the most famous pug of Germany, Sir Henry, came along to visit the animal shelter.

Rarely has a new Carnello product roused so much interest as the dogy-chips have.
Surely also due to the fact that the gourmet pope Gerd Käfer from Munich participated in the development.
We received a great surprise on Saturday, June 16th:
the owner of Ruby, one of the most famous lady dogs of Germany, reported about "a fantastic bag of low fat Carnello Chips" in his regular Saturday column in the Bild newspaper, Mein Hund und ich.
"Ruby, the pampered dog, chewed herself happy." That makes us happy too!

Happy End! Sometimes also dogs have several lives. The small pug Pusinka, which means "little kiss", has already had three in her short life until now. Her life was saved twice already. She was born in Slovakia with a great handicap - she is missing one eye and the air pipe was malformed. To save her from being put to sleep, she was accepted into the animal shelter in Dubnica, which is supported by Carnello. But the animal shelter ( see help project) was not able to pay for surgery by a specialist. |

Then came Pusinkas second rescue. Uschi Ackermann, live-in partner of gourmet pope Gerd Käfer, heard of her fate, and decided to help. She not only paid for her surgery, but also gave her a new, loving home. Her other famous pug "Sir Henry" was rather surprised about the new companion at first, but meanwhile they have become friends, as you can see on the picture.
Pusinka, welcome to your new life in Munich!

In addition to our much-loved dog spaghetti there is a new version now especially for cats, in 2-3 cm length. The catspaghetti® is one of the very few natural chewing delicacies that are even available for cats.
