Buzz Buzz Buzz
The hyperactive, highly concentrated situation in the house of Carnello is comparable with a beehive at the moment.
The reason for this: The huge Interzoo trade fair in Nuremberg! A stream of ideas, specialist knowledge and creativity all bundled up over the
last few days for the biggest pet supplies fair worldwide. 40.000 visitors are expected, and more than 1500 exhibitors will be showing off their
latest products. From the 17th to the 20th of May 2012, the Interzoo will be opening its gates. We will be there presenting our popular products,
as well as two great brand-new product lines. You can find us in Hall 2 on Stand 500. We're looking forward to seeing you!

Report in the magazine dogs
On Saturday, the weekly market in Ulm once again turned out to be a hotline for good news! We found out from the delightful lady on our favourite stand Gölz that “dogs“, the biggest glossy magazine in Europe, presented our dogspaghetti! This news, hot off the press, reached us even before we got our own hands on a copy of the new magazine.*
*Today, Monday: We're holding a copy of the luxury dog magazine in our hands, the latest issue from May/June, and it's true! On page 122 we can see the "New in the bowl" report, as well as a great picture of our own popular dogspaghettis! As for the rest of the magazine, it's very well worth reading. Its interesting, with very well researched reports on, amongst other things, clever breeds, education, protection of animals, or the participation actions: “Stop the German dog tax!“. It's all very exciting. Aesthetic creativity at its highest level, and with excellent pictures too. So, with this in mind, we wish you & your 4-legged friends lots of fun & a nice day. ♥

✓ We like that:
Right in front of the gates of the cathedral, there is one of the most beautiful weekly markets every Wednesday and Saturday in Ulm!
We especially like purchasing at the Gölz Meat and Sausage Booth. It is a family farm operation from Ehingen, which is run by the third
generation www.gutes-vom-bauernmarkt.de.
We, as vegetarians, have come here so to say on behalf of our Flori (16) because the nice lady at the booth always has something tasty
without salt for four-legged friend. Floris' favourites: cooked ribs and heart. Mmm! Her loot last Saturday: 400g of crispy ribs at a really
great price! Dear two-legged creatures, get going!
Here is another little market story. Recently, we met a gentleman with a dachshund there.
And believe it or not, the dachshund was 19 (!!) years old. We listened with astonishment and learned that he could still see and hear
good and otherwise, was also doing reasonably well.
And now the unbelievable - the gentleman had just adopted him six months ago from the animal shelter. Simply admirable!

Donations for the Animal Shelter Weißenhorn
On the 15th of March we received a visit from a nice lady from the animal home Weißenhorn who was there to pick up a few donations
for the animal home from us. We donated some product samples, care products and bowls for the dogs. Amongst them were also, of course,
some of our snacks: the dogy-chips and dogy-gums which were gladly accepted by our friends.
We're always are glad if we can bestow pleasure with our small presents.

Here is a great blog entry by Karin Fischer whose dog Bruno has tested our dogy-chips and dogy-gums on its own body.
As one can sees, Bruno has really enjoyed our package.
We wish you a lot of fun whilst reading :)

Today we received news that will certainly make all cat fans very happy:
In the science column of the latest issue of Matrix magazine, it says that cat purring is healthy for you!
Natural evolution determined thousands of years ago that purring keeps cats fit and healthy and can also help sick people in today's troubled times. In particular, these are the inaudible, low-frequency purring vibrations which are exceptionally therapeutically effective, as proven by the latest research from Austria. Cats should actually be given out on prescription ;-)

Hunting and Fishing Fair
From the 16th till 19th February in Ulm everything was about the subject hunting. For the 13th time, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Hunting & Fishing fair was held. It's one of the biggest trade fairs, and drew in about 25.000 visitors from South Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. And for a very good reason! About 200 exhibitors and many associations presented a gigantic spectrum.
For example, the association of hunting clubs in Baden-Wurttemberg magically drew in the small visitors. In realistic scenes, full of local wild animals like roe deer and wild boars, the tiny nature explorers were able to go deerstalking. Famous bugle blowing groups provided for an atmosphere full of sound, creating quite an atmosphere in the halls.
Another highlight was the special "Fascination Africa" show, which described the breathtaking savannah of Africa. The inhabitants of the steppe, such as the lions, antelopes and leopards just had to be there, and some impressively prepared specimens were on show.
The German Falcon Club put on an impressive flying show with some birds of prey who were partially tame. It was a great experience to see these fascinating birds at close quarters. In two very modern laser shooting ranges, the visitors attempted to test their accuracy.
In the show kitchen in the fair's entrance hall, it was shown how to prepare the spoils of the local hunt, such as game and fish. Those who had already worked up an appetite were able to feast on these delicious foods.
Dogs and their friends were also taken care of, and daily hunt presentations were made, introducing the hounds not only as man's best friend, but also as an important hunting accessory. For the physical welfare of the dogs, tasty snacks were provided, and on our stand the tasty dogy-croissants and the dogy-gums were very popular. Numerous four-legged visitors enjoyed them with us. But the dogy-cocktail, made from pure beef also proved extremely popular with the hunters. With a little water, it turns into a delightful meal. In this way, the dog gets lots of energy to run about in the woods without the feeling of having eaten too much.
The dogy-cocktail is perfect when out and about, and ought to be an addition to every rucksack!

Happy Birthday!
The onset of winter surprised everyone. Now our problem child, the animal shelter in the valley in Slovakia, has a hard fight on its hands.
How are they all doing down there? And what can we do to help our four-legged friends there? These were the questions put to Sir Henry the
pug of the republic and his girlfriend Pusinka. Now both of them are 6 years old and celebrated their birthdays together.
PR lady Uschi Ackermann invited us to this occasion to Munich. The pug greeting was a happy one, and Sir Henry took time out to search our pockets. Probably looking for some dogy-chips?
And do they both know what a good time they're having? The little lady knows for sure. She managed to rescue the seriously ill, one-eyed Pusinka from the animal shelter in the valley and brought her home, and she's made helping destitute animals her main aim. Without her untiring application with Sir Henry, the animal shelter would be a rather sad place. What do we wish the birthday pugs?
All the best! With hope that we can organise lots of stuff together in the future!

International Pedigree Cat Show Fellbach
Our first trade fair this year was held on the 28th and 29th of January in Fellbach in the "Old Cellar" cultural monument. The Pedigree Cat Association Stuttgart e.V.
sought out this special location to host the special felines.
Up to 300 velvet-pawed cats appeared each day, such as Norwegian Forest Cats, Maine Coon, Persian, Siam and many more contenders hoping to scoop titles and trophies. The cats were constantly in the limelight but managed to get their beauty sleep in peace despite the numerous pairs of eyes marveling at them. Many owners had transformed their cages into oases of comfort for the occasion.
After the morning's daily health check on admission, some active styling was called for to improve the chances of a nomination. The judges examined the nominees in various categories closely.
Of course, visitors were also able to enjoy numerous stands covering all aspects of cats. We from Carnello were also there with our range of catspaghetti, dogy-gums and dogy-cocktail. Particularly the catspaghetti, purely because of its name, drew many visitors to our stand and impressed many of the four-legged gourmets. The dogy-gums, thanks to its delicious chicken-liver filling, was also well received. The dogy-cocktail was particularly attractive for the breeders, since it is versatile and provides mothers especially with the energy they need to care for their kittens. The little ones therefore also benefit and can flourish into magnificent adults.
Besides the delicacies there were also, of course, some accessories on display. From handmade scratching posts to intelligence-boosting toys and special little houses, we had it all. Younger visitors could have their faces painted and enjoyed collecting the flashcards with images of the pedigree cats and breeder facts on the cages. We were also visited by two very nice cat lovers who delighted in distributing our flyers around the hall. The loving care of the breeders and the great atmosphere among the exhibitors made this fair a very special event that left us with fond memories!
